Greg can’t remember a time when he didn’t enjoy baseball, at least casually. He’s been a fan of the Greensboro Grasshoppers since they were called the Greensboro Bats and played in World War Memorial Stadium. In 2009, with the advent of the MLB.com At Bat app for the iPhone, he became a serious baseball fan. Some would say “obsessed.” Newbridge Bank Park, home of the Hoppers, is close enough to his house that he can see the Friday night home game fireworks from his front porch. Especially since there’s not a major league team anywhere close to his home, Greg has directed his interest into the minor league system, specifically concentrating on the Grasshoppers. He loves the family-friendly, fun-loving, casual atmosphere that permeates minor league baseball and has been extremely impressed with the between-inning activities that the Grasshoppers provide for their fans.
