Hoppers continue to find will to win!

The Grasshoppers keep finding the will to win.  Tonight, Austin Brice started out on the mound for the Hoppers.  He threw five innings, allowed seven hits, and four strikeouts.  Jose Urena relieved him with four innings, three hits and four strikeouts.  As you all have read a friend of mine, Jonathon Flournoy, and I are heading down to Charleston this weekend to check out all the All Star festivities.  While sitting in the stands tonight, it dawned on me that I was already seeing fourteen of the All Stars tonight.  Greensboro is contributing eight players and Charleston is contributing six.  This series at home is going to prove to be very exciting heading into the weekend.

Tonight, the Hoppers that stood out to me were Brent Keys, Josh Adams, and I’m starting to see Wilfredo Giminez grow before my very eyes.  Brent Keys had four at bats, two hits, several spectacular grabs, and one run.  Josh Adams had three at bats, two hits, and one RBI.  Brent Keys is leading the Hoppers with an astounding .361 batting average.  The Hoppers to cross the plate tonight were Austin Barnes, Brent Keys, Ryan Goetz, and Matt Smith.  The final tonight was 4-3 as the Hoppers take the victory.  With tonights win, the Hoppers only need to win one more game to clinch the first half title!  So if you are reading this and are local come out the next couple nights and show our Hoppers that WE BELIEVE, and help me show Greensboro why its A GREAT TIME TO BE A HOPPER!
