Hoppers optimistic and ready for tonight against Augusta!

The Hoppers have fallen to the Augusta Greenjackets the last two nights.  The first one by a score of 1-0 and last nights heartbreaker the score was 2-1 with the final runs for Augusta coming in the bottom of the ninth.  When asked about this stretch Terrence Dayleg replied, “We just need to band together (as a team) and play our best game. We need good team at bats and we need to stick with one another during this stretch.”  And good solid teamwork is what this team is all about.  Good teamwork is what kept the Greensboro Grasshoppers in first place the majority of the first half of the season.  With those two losses heading into tonights game, the Hoppers fall to only 4.5 games ahead of Hagerstown, the second place team.  WE BELIEVE in our boys and we know they will hold on and as Dayleg said, we as fans will band together behind this ball club and see that not only will we finish in first place the first half of the season but we will bring the SAL League title back here again this year!

Stay tuned for after the game stats and a recap of the game!

It’s a great time to be a Hopper!
