GSO v ROM Game 3 (4/30/2010)

Stonecipher Autograph.

Friday, April 30 was the third game in the Greensboro Grasshoppers series against the Rome Braves. Unlike the previous two quick shut-outs, the Hoppers fell to the Braves, 2-3. Rome got on the board quickly with their first two runs in the second inning. The Hoppers scored a run in each of the fifth and eighth innings. Rome scored their final run in the ninth and the Hoppers were unable to respond.

I got to the game early enough to visit the autograph table. Sequoyah Stonecipher and Mike Pasek were signing. I already had Pasek’s autograph, but I added Stonecipher’s autograph to my team ball. It’s pictured on the left.

One of the great things that the Hoppers do at a lot of their games is let a Little League team take the field with them before the game and stand with them during the singing of the National Anthem. It’s really cute.

Once again, the Hoppers used the scoreboard to taunt batters on the other team. Tonight, Chris Lovett was targeted with photos of Lyle Lovett on the scoreboard.
